    Make up your mind. Is it opaque or transparent?

    Have you specified a white stroke for your paths?

    uh lemme show u an example
    ( the white opaque part is on the right of it and extends to where the top and bottom of the line is ( the parenthesis is an example of how the path is)

    Aha...

    That looks like you have a white fill on the path the arrow points to.

    Remove the fill, and you should be fine.

    Illustrator will let you specify fills even when the path is not closed.
