Default Who is using the my user form

    Hello All,

I have my user connect to my database/website via a IUSR_servername account.
What I want to do perform some kind of audit trail. What I mean by an audit
trail is to record who submit a user form and and the time it was submitted.
Any advice would be geatly appreciated. Thanks.

Default Re: Who is using the my user form

Since you didn't specify, I will assume your are using ASP/VBScript and an
Access Database (very common for IIS). I am also assuming that you had a user
login and are using restricted pagesets (Restrict Access to Page server
behavior). In your database, insert two fields: 1)submitted_by (a text field)
and 2) submitted (a Date/Time Field). In the properties for the submitted
field, make the default value Now() Each time the record is inserted or
updated, the time in the submitted field will change. In your form, create a
recordset (we'll call it rs_submit) from your user table. You will filter it
as username = session variable = MM_Username. Then put in a hidden field in
the form called submitted_by and bind the username to the value. The field
will automatically insert the username into the database when you bind it to
the Insert or Update server behavior. HTH Cheers Chuck
