The Eye is looking trough a filter. A polaroid filter? And why is the sailboat lurking there all the time.

Quite frankly, I think that eye in Photoshop 7's splash screen is horribly drawn.

Yes, but seriously, I think it's a left eye pasted into the right eye position.

I'm still uncomfortable about the boat though.

I believe the eye is that of Julieanne Kost. Whereas the sailboat
belongs to Chris Cox. The filter was provided by Richard Coencas.
