I was going to ask the same question. I only get 7 pages, be it new topics or
topics that people respond to. If it's not answered in a the first 7 pages, it
seems it's lost in lala land. So the best thing to do is subscribe to your
topic or the topic of interest to get to it later.
All mine disappeared so I got access to it through my subscription and added a
question mark to bring it back hoping someone will notice it and respond.

I read this newsgroup via NNTP using Thunderbird. The threads are never
deleted off the server, but the length of time before the threads are
deleted off my system are controlled by Thunderbird. The default is 30 days.
The newsgroup is visible to search engines, so just do a web search for
any topics of interest:
