Why do my VCD pictures jump around on the TV screen? - Photography

I'm just getting into cutting CDs of my digipix, and have run into a very disturbing effect. The digital slide show pictures jitter on the TV screen. Not every picture jumps around, and not the whole picture, but certain edges of certain pictures do. For example, a shot of trees looks like a video of trees with a soft breeze ing. Default Why do my VCD pictures jump around on the TV screen?

I'm just getting into cutting CDs of my digipix, and have run into a
very disturbing effect. The digital slide show pictures jitter on the
TV screen. Not every picture jumps around, and not the whole picture,
but certain edges of certain pictures do. For example, a shot of trees
looks like a video of trees with a soft breeze ing.

I've used 2 different pieces of software with the same effect. It
seems worse with Nero Burning ROM 5.5, but also occurs with HP
    Memories Disc.

These are being played on a new Toshiba DVD player, Model SD-K620.
When I pause commercial DVDs, the picture stays absolutely still.

Any suggestions on settings that might improve things, or where to
    troubleshoot for hardware problems?

    TIA.

Some of the newer Software for DVD slideshows has an Anti Jitter filter.
Ulead DVD Picture show Two is one that has such a filter.

Does this feature also come with software that writes to CDs?
