Default Why does black come out gray in PDFs and EPS files

How can I stop a black box filled with 100 per cent black from coming out 85 per cent black when I export it to PDF for make an EPS out of it? I can't find any color management option that seems to work.

I have found that making an eps file and opening it in Photoshop will do
the same thing. Black is not black. I use Registration color in FH.

That makes the colors 100% of C, M, Y and K and a solid black in PS.
    Hope this helps you.

How are you determining that this change is happenning? Opening in
Photoshop as greyscale, perhaps? Try opening as CMYK instead - your
    colours should remain unchanged.
