Why does MM cache form pages on google groups
Why does MM cache pages on google groups considering how simple it would be to
make changes to meta data and robots.txt that would clear old unedited posts?
That change would keep the google forum as updated as the company forum and
would reflect the truest and most recent opinions of mm forum users. This is an
especially sensitive issue since the forum signup page for new members that
requests user data does not state that posts will appear on google groups. That
information only appears on the forum etiquette pages; also google groups was
not around when these forums began. The google groups page has specific
information on how to clear cached forums. I beleive all forum users agree
macromedia should respect that any edits to the forum should be reflected on
the more widely accesible google groups by ensuring that the google crawlers
are instructed not to keep any cached content accesible for googles archives.
