Why don't I have the option to save my freehand file in pdf, just ps
I am trying to make a pdf in freehand. When I go to file/print/print to file with Acrobat Distiller chosen, I only have the option to save it as a ps file. I can convert the ps file to a pdf in the stand alone distiller afterwords, but I loose my hotlinks. I think I need to go directly to a pdf from freehand to accomplish this. Does anyone know why I don't have this pdf option in freehand?
Thanks for any help

Re:Why don't I have the option to save my freehand file in pdf, just ps
Hello there,
Don't use 'print' to create a PDF-file.
Use: file - export and select PDF in the 'format' box.
That should do the trick.
Good luck

I find one huge problem with that approach, if your document contains
photoshop eps files with clipping paths, then you have to distill the file
properly, if you just export from freehand as PDF the images just disappear
;o(

You may want to refer to this link to know FreeHand's PDF export limitation:

m
And the workaround for these limitations is to save your document as an EPS
file and use Adobe Distiller to create your PDF file.

then drag into Distiller - this way you have a PS file that you can
repurpose for other things (distilling on different settings, dropping
the PS into a RIP, etc.).
