Why Quark 4.0 tabloid file becomes Acrobat 4.0 letter size file?

I am using Quark 4.0 with Acrobat 4.0 (w/ Distiller) on Mac OS 9. The Quark file is set up as tabloid. When I print to postscript and then run through Distiller half the page is cut off so that I have a letter-size file. How can I keep the pdf as tabloid? I have tried to make the proper settings in Distiller. My printer is not a tabloid printer but I wanted to make a pdf to output at a local copy shop. Could my print driver be interfering with the .ps file so as to negate my tabloid selection? Many thanks for your help.

If you create postscript, then typically (unless other idiom set tools
are usaed) then Distiller WILL NOT affect the page size.

Double check your print settings in Quark prior to generating your
postscript ..
