Why to upgrade to CF MX 7 ?
Hi, Actually, I use CF MX 6.1 and I'd like to by the new version. My IT
Manager asks me to explain why I want to upgrade. I search information on this
website but I don't find exactly what I want. Where can I found 'official'
improvement to prove to my manager who should be bought the new version ? Many

Re: Why to upgrade to CF MX 7 ?
Obviously by now you have downloaded the trial version of MX7 - Now try out the
new and MUCH improved CFFORM - that alone is the begiining of making guys like
me (Flash Developers) redundant - Remember to use the FORMAT="Flash" - this
alone is enough to make our less educated bosses go WOW!! I want that! Nothing
is more official than what they can see with their own eyes. Not to mention how
much the CFCHART has been improved from MX6.
Apart from how much easier it makes your life, and how much time it saves, it
also looks good, and if you are anything like me and most other Coldfusion
developers I know, you will agree: The worst part of doing my job it that
crappy yet essential little factor in our lives called DESIGN.

Re: Why to upgrade to CF MX 7 ?
My biggest thrill, so far, is the cfdocument tag that generates dynamic PDFs.
I am working on transforming our static PDFs and dynamic Word documents into
dynamic PDFs.
It is extremely simple, yet the results have such a large impact. For those
users who don't care for Flash, PDFs are a great alternative to FlashPaper
documents. At least on our campus, people are more willing to accept PDFs than
Flash movies.
