Wierd Verity search results
Using CFMX 6.1. I used the CF administrator to create and indes a collection
of PDF files. The search works fine, but when I display the summary, some
records have word run-on. Here's an example:
OBOE1.HandPosition:Onlownotes,theleftthumbisonthew oodjustbelowthebackoctavekeywi
ththethumbnailpointingdiagonallyup
Other summaries are just fine, with spaces between words where they should be.
Has anyone seen this?
TIA

Re: Wierd Verity search results
I have partially solved the issue. All the offending PDF files were created
with Adobe Indesign CS )3.0). The files that display the summary correctly
were created with Adobe PageMaker 7.0. So is this a Verity bug or an Indesign
bug? And is there a known workaround?

Re: Wierd Verity search results
CFMX 7 has completely new Verity bits in it. From Verity version 2.6.1 (CF
5/6) is now Verity version 5.5 in CFMX 7.
You may find better PDF support if upgrading is an option.
