Win updates

I can can install the download manager for Service pak 1
into my files, but when I try to download the SP I get a
"not compatible etc." warning, if I go ahead and
click "continue" I end up with " The software you are
installing has not passed win logo testing to verify its
compatability with win xp, this software will not be
installed" Any ideas? thanks, Gus.
