Default Win98 Partition problem with fips

    Hello all,
I am having a last cylinder problem for partitioning my 5gb hdd
having win98 which i want to resize to 2 gb thereby giving the rest to
    my 3gb linux partition.
I tried defragging win98 and then running fips but it always gives me
    the same error!
is there any other solution for the same ! If not are there any other
good partitioning softwares to do the same!
    Thanks and rgds,

I'm not sure this will do it, but when you defragged, did you
do it in DOS, and use the /F switch for full optimization?
I mean boot to DOS, holding down the CTRL key while booting
and selecting "command prompt only", NOT a Win dosprompt.
