windows backup utility - Access files
Hi All!
I have a windows 2000 server (with all service packs + windows update), and
on it there is an Access database, accessed by book-keeping application.
Now, there is a Travan (tape backup drive) on the server, and I am makin
backup every day in the evening on a tape. For that I am using Windows
backup utility, and everything works fine.
But one hour before this tape-backup, I am making a backup on a harddisk, to
a special folder. Now there comes a problem - all files are accesible, but
access file (.mdb) is not backed up!!! How come this is happening? The file
is not backed up no matter if the database is open or not...
The mystical thing is that I have another server, where another Access
database is accessed by a web (.asp) application, and there the backup to
the harddisk is working fine! (the server is also win 2k with latest patches
+ updates)
Any suggestions?
Regards,
Zoran
