Windows Explorer/Contribute weirdness
After recently upgrading to Studio 8, this morning I uninstalled Fireworks MX.
Subsequently, whenever I right clicked ANY file in Explorer (or xplorer2 which
I use) Windows opened a message "Please wait while Windows configures
Macromedia Contribute 3.11"
I finally let it do it's configuration dance and now right click brings up the
proper context sensitive menu as before. But, why on earth is there any
connection between Contribute, uninstalling FW and my file managers? And why oh
why does upgrading, installing, uninstalling or any number of chores having to
do with any MM product lead to SOMETHING unexpected?
Just curious....

Right! I work on a school, we have the same problem. But we have NOT
uninstalled Fireworks. The install message appears on hundreds of computers
with a lot of different users. The students use different computers every day.
They have do fix that bug on all computers, in their own profiles. Very
stressfull and infunctionall. And Contribute gets a lot of student bad will,
even if most of them never have used the program.
Must be av fix somewhere in Contribute, but we can't find it.
