Windows Services for Unix 3.0
I am trying to get a Sun computer to work with Windows Services for
Unix 3.0 and am having a lot of trouble. This is for testing purposes so
I have 2 computers in a closed network by themselves, one is running
Solaris 9 and the other Windows 2000 server. I did a clean install on
both computers and made the windows one the dns server as well. I am not
very experienced with solaris, and during the install option asking
about network configuration I choose to use NIS. My other options were
NIS+, DNS, None, and Ldap. I choose NIS because the Windows Services for
Unix has turned the windows computer into a NIS server.
My ultimate goal is to be able to have the solaris computer integrated
into active directory and be able to automap windows drives at login.
For what ever reason whenever I attempt to list the Unix accounts i get
an error. I have not configured anything on Solaris other then the
default installion stuff. Any help would be appreciated or documentation
on how to impliment this from the ground up.
Thanks

NFS-export those "windows drives" from your windows servers.
You didnt mention that in your post, so I'm not sure this is clear to you.
you're better off just putting the data on the solaris box, and exporting
it via SAMBA and having the windows boxes mount from the solaris box.
