Default Windows XP Error Message - Duplicate Name Exists on the Network

I am trying to solve this problem and would like some
guidance on where to go with it. I use the notebook at
home, attached to a LAN, Linksys router and cable modem.
I take the notebook to work also and connect to the
internet via their wired LAN. Any assistance would be
    greatly appreciated.

    Thanks, John

I've recently had this problem. I just renamed the computer I was getting
the message on and it went away.
