Wireless Repeater for PowerBook
Okay, this isn't the right group, but what is.
I need infor on wireless repeaters. I have one that gives me a terrific
signal but terrible throughput. This must be a common problem. Where
is it discussed?
Yes, I did a Google search. comp.dcom was close but not quite.
comp.std.wireless was another possibilty but again didn't seem to offer
what I need.

More information about your situation and setup would be quite helpful.
As it is, I've no real idea what might be the problem.
If you own a Mac using OS X, you should download a program called
MacStumbler. It gives signal strength information as well as noise
levels, and can be quite helpful in diagnosing wireless difficulties.
