Word compatability
Hello there from Victoria, B.C. Canada
We are using Acrobat Pro (vers 7) to create a monthly educational newsletter for Canadian teachers.
The release notes for Acrobat 8 state:
Save in Microsoft Word
Take advantage of improved functionality for saving Adobe PDF files as Microsoft Word documents, retaining the layout, fonts, formatting, and tables.
But I can't seem to find any other info. Can anyone explain to me in more detail how this works?
Thanks in advance for your time.

It's under the hood changes. There really isn't anything to see, really. You still do File>Save As...Microsoft Word Document

Re: Word compatability
Your only choices for conversion are in the Convert From PDF preferences. Choose Microsoft Word and click Edit Settings. You can choose to include (or not) comments, and set image resolution and color space. (I think the comments only work with Windows, but I'm not sure.)
