    Default Writing to jpg fix?

I just switched from Quark. Now when I'm placing any kind of graphic (pdf or tiff), when In Design places the graphic, a dialog box comes up that says "writing to jpeg." I don't want it to do this! I need super high resolution for some magazine covers and the file size is reduced by 2/3. That can't be right. Any help appreciated.

Thanks for the responses. The old Quark pdf export was around 50-60 megs, the In Design export to pdf is coming in between 10 - 20 megs depending on how I write the pdf. I'm having our printer look it over, but he doesn't know much about In Design, he's just pitstopping the contents files.

ID's export is far superior to Quark's (along with just about every
other feature). And exporting to Acrobat 5 should give you an even
smaller PDF depending upon the contents of your file.

Just about? Heck, I'd say EVERY feature! I'm hard-pressed to think of
    anything that Quark does better...
