WTH is cornflower blue?
I have to make a background a solid color and the client has asked that it be "Cornflower Blue". Can somebody please tell me if there is such a thing and what the CMYK values are for it?
I've found a billion sites referencing the color but nothing about what its values are and every single item that is supposed to be this color looks different to me. Is there really a standard color named this or is it like saying "Puke Green"?

Mouseover color names here:
<http://www.nutrocker.co.uk/colorchart.html>
Cornflower Blue = #6495ed.
Convert to closest CMYK values.

No prob, Bob!
Got GoLive?
There's a "Named Color" palette in GoLive's color picker that duplicates what's on the Nutrocker site.

Or, you can wait until late summer when the cornflowers are in bloom, and check it out in real life. They're quite a nice shade of blue.

If I wait until Saturday morning in the late summer I can get nice samples of both Cornflower Blue and Puke Green in one shot.

Re: WTH is cornflower blue?
Once upon a time there was a Crayola crayon with that name. It was my favorite color and always used the quickest.

Re: WTH is cornflower blue?
Interesting, my favorite Crayola was the white crayon. It was the only one I didn't screw up with.

Re: WTH is cornflower blue?
Funny enough...Cornflower Blue was always one of my favorite Crayolas as well.
Had an ex-girlfriend leave an oversized Cornflower-colored T-shirt at my house, and she let me keep it. I loved the color of that thing, and have been hard pressed to find another like it, now that it's worn out.
Perhaps I should page through women's wear catalogs?

Jeez,
That must of been an auful long time ago, Phosphor.
Way before I was born anyway.
I'm thinking color Cornflower=Crayon=T-Shirt. Very retro.

In the French version of Illustrator 5.5 there was a colour named "caca d'oie" (goose shit).
