    Default X connection problem

    Hi group

If just inherited admin of an Openserver 5.0.2 system (with all relevant
patches) and are experiencing X client problems.

The company has 10 ncd Explora 450 network computer all sending XDMCP
requests to the Sco Server. Each NC gets the scologin prompt, allows the
user to login, display their X Desktop and on the face of it allows X
clients to run. Across the 10 terminals upto 32 X clients can be run
simultanously, but the 33rd X client will not run until a previous client
has ended. Obviously a 32 limit somewhere in the system, but i've no idea
    where, how about anyone else.

The problem is due to get worse over the next 2 months as an additional 30
NC's are added to the system, each required to run 4 or 5 X clients.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Regards
    MARK

    Mark,

This is probably a license limit you are hitting.

Run uname -X and check what the number of Users you system is licensed
for. If it is 32 then you will need to purchase additional licenses to
    allow additional concurrent clients.

    Hi John

Thanks for the reply, but uname -X shows 55 user license available.

    Anymore suggestions?
