    Default XML Help

Is it possible to have a Flash running on a local machine create an xml file
    on the user's hard drive?

I'm very familiar with Flash & Action Script but have never done anything
    with the xml.

    Thanks

This is possible, however not with FLASH alone. In don't think flash in
itself can write any files to a users hard drive. To do this, you would
have to run flash outside of the browser in something called a 3rd party
projector. a projector program like flash studio pro extends the flash
player into a exe program. This program can then be used to build rich
internet applications and such. One of the many features it has is the
ability to write files, access databases, and access ftp and http pages..

    Hope this helps.

    Default XML Help

Greetings. I'm making my own "News Aggregator" page on my web site. I'm
teaching myself XML in the process. I finally figured out how to get all of
the items to list on the page. The question is, how do you get the "<> link"
to be a clickable link? The URL is there on my page, but it's not a link. I
guess the same question would apply to the "@ Url" data...
