XML search engine - Macromedia Flash Actionscript

I'm relatively new to flash, but designing a searchable database for a lab group that I work with. I've looked all over the place, and can't find any specific resources on how to create an XML based search engine Our information is stored in an external file on our network in XML format. I'd like users to be able to type in a keyword and have results from the database be listed accordingly. Can anyone tell me how to do this?...

hiya... I was looking for something similar for this a while back but
could really find anything that suited. what we ended up doing was using
Windows Scripting Host to work through all the XML docs, stripping out
the relevant information and saving it off to a single XML doc that had
references back to the original xml. This could then be loaded into
    flash and searched.

le me know if you find anything better, be most interested!

We've actually started using a component of the microsoft office 2003 suite
called "infopath" to develop our database (although it's giving me some
problems), because it automatically saves the info in XML. Very handy. So I do
end up with one big list of XML entries, but this still leaves me with the
problem of how to search it. I need a little instruction on how to do
the scripting to get that done. Any input
