Default XP Client can't access Win2K-files

    Hi !

We have a problem when trying to access files from an XP client on
a Win2000 server (Server2). Server2 is not the Domain controller but
is in the same domain as Server1 (Domain controller).

When we try to access the file we get the login-prompt and can not get in.
It works fine when accessing the files from other Win2000 client but not
    from XP.

    Regards,
    Fredrik

Default Re: XP Client can't access Win2K-files

    Hi Fredrik,

is Windows XP PC part of domain? If not then try it like this:
When you get prompted for user data under Username text box type:
<yourdomainname>\<domainusername> and under password part type <password>
that is assigned to the domain user.

Replace <yourdomainame> <domainusername> <password> with actual data from
    your network...

    Hope this helps.
