xp_sendmail - Microsoft SQL / MS SQL Server

My subject doesn't show up as the subject of the email. Is there a trick to something so simple? EXEC xp_sendmail recipients = 'robertk;laurac', message = 'The master database is full.', copy_recipients = 'anned;michaels', subject = 'Master Database Status' Thanks...

    My subject doesn't show up as the subject of the email. Is there a trick
    to something so simple?

    EXEC xp_sendmail recipients = 'robertk;laurac',
    message = 'The master database is full.',
    copy_recipients = 'anned;michaels',
    subject = 'Master Database Status'

    Not sure what you mean by the executable getting stuck but
    the following may provide some answers for you:

    A great alternative to using mapi is to use xp_sendmail
    which is a free smtp mail dll for SQL Server:
