    Speculative release date for FreeHand MX 2005: February 2004. From a very
    reliable source. No talk of features though they were of the opinion that
    there was a major interface overhaul in the works to bring it in line with
    the rest of the current MX suite.

    Personally, I wish they'd take a little more time and do a lot of work under
    the hood. It sounds like the old dog isn't ready to roll over and play dead
    yet.

    P.S. That said, the InDesign demo at the launch was really impressive. The
    Illustrator 3D functionality looked easier to use but the render itself
    wasn't very impressive--when they turned a square into a cube, the angles
    just kind of flared out in the back. Not good.
