Your politics on not updating your Apps touniversal has to change faster than you thought
Hi Guys,
Apple came out with two updates on Friday for their Intel based Macs, the QuickTime 7.1 (QT 7.1) and the Software Update 2006-003 (SU 2006-003).
Both updates contradict with your Adobe Suite CS2 apps, especially Version Cue and Acrobat, mainly because they run on start up in the background, and now that's causing the Intel Macs to freeze on start up, you can read about it on the apple forums or the www.macfixit.com page.
The villain of the story is made to be the Version Cue app, at first I went along with the story, but after many tests I discovered that the real conflict was with QT 7.1, this app runs in the background and now it has some serious issues with your apps that run in the background at start up. At the end, I can't work without Adobe apps, but I can work without these updates from Apple, I'm doing a complete make over of my MacBook Pro, unless you can give me another solution... Just in case I already used the Disk Utility and that didn't work, basically both softwares (Adobe apps and new apple updates) can't exist in an apple environment anymore. Please consider this news, and talk to apple. Thanks

The best I recall is that version cue is not Intel Mac compatible. Wait til 4th
Q 2006 for the first native version of Acrobat. I believe (but am unsure) that
that CS3 will be due 2nd or 3rd Quarter 2007. If I needed to run Adobe apps on
an Intel Machine, I'd be running it on Windows XP. Which in fact I do. I won't
upgrade my Macs until I've got the software needed to run on them.
