Zooming with Mouse
Hi everyone,
As I mentioned in a previous post I am a new Freehand user and am liking
this program more and more everyday.
I also mentioned how I switched to Freehand from CorelDraw. Corel had one
feature that I am always wishing every program had (AutoCAD also has
it)...the ability to zoom using the mouse wheel. Scroll forward...zoom in.
Scroll back...zoom out. Very VERY handy feature. I've been trying to find a
way to get Freehand to emulate this, but the best I can come up with is
keyboard shortcuts.
Any suggestions are appreciated.

click (or drag) and CTRL-ALT-SPACE click that FH and most other
drawing programs offer. Have you tried that?

Re: Zooming with Mouse
Thanks, Ken, I didn't know about that.
I just tried it and it works okay, but I like my own shortcut keys
better...and I still like the scroll wheel zoom better.
Oh well.

worked with many mainstream DTP apps that use some variation of the
'Page Grabber' hand and zoom feature, so it became second nature. That
kind of continuity and familiarity is valuable in a production
situation.
